Lincoln's Birthday
Abraham
Lincoln was the 16th President of these United States, known as "Honest
Abe", he was. He served as President during the Civil War and
saved the Union. He also wrote the Emancipation Proclamation
which, fortunately, ended slavery in this country forever, and was the author of the
"Gettysburg Address" which memorialized the most crucial battle of the
Civil War. Abraham Lincoln is everlasting in the memory of his countrymen!

The day shines bright in the old Kentucky home. 'Tis
Winter, the young folks are gay! The hill top's white, and the
trees are standing tall while the wind makes music all the day.
The young folks roll on the little cabin floor, all merry, all happy
and bright! By and by hard times comes a knockin' at the door,
then my old Kentucky home, "Goodnight".
